When we compile a round-up of the biggest nail trends, it never comes with the edict that you must carry out only one trend at a time. If you see a way to combine several of the trendiest techniques or designs into a single manicure, go right ahead! There's no quota. And Vanessa Hudgens's latest two-trend manicure is proof of how incredibly cute that can look.
Over the weekend, nail artist Zola Ganzorigt posted the most recent in her long line of Vanessa Hudgens mani masterpieces. This time, “Subtle V-day polka dots,” as she writes in the caption. And yes, it's still January, but we know Hudgens loves a holiday-themed look, so she's jumping in with the Valentine's Day inspo nice and early.
“We used peachy nude cat-eye nail polish for the base and red cat-eye for the polka dots,” Ganzorigt tells Allure of the mesmerizingly glowing oval nails. That's right—even the polka dots themselves are cat-eye.

In case you're uninitiated, cat-eye polish takes shimmer to the next level with magnetic particles that help give it previously unimaginable dimension. “It creates a sense of mystery and versatility, as the color appears to change, making it both bold and adaptable,” nail artist Jacqueline Pham previously told Allure.
And polka dots are, of course, classic, but they've been having a huge moment, with numerous celebrities—take Sabrina Carpenter and Kylie Jenner, for example—opting in to the always-cute look. "They’re still nostalgic, rooted in vintage femininity, but have a slightly cheekier twist,” nail artist Elle Gerstein has told Allure of the look.
It's definitely not too soon to get into the V-Day spirit, so go ahead and take this doubly trendy, doubly adorable look to your nail tech ASAP.
